Flourishes Release Blog Hop: A Mother’s Hug

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Flourishes new release blog hop!

If you came from Nancy’s Blog, then you are in the right place. If not, please hop on over to the Flourishes Blog, and start from the beginning.

Today, we are introducing A Mother’s Hug, which features a beautiful image of mother and child.

I stamped the image in Versafine Black Onyx ink and die-cut the image with Spellbinders Labels 28. I then kept the die on the die-cut and sponged the image with Tim Holtz Distress inks in Old Paper and Tumbled Glass. To mat the image, I used the same Spellbinders die to trace the outline onto a piece of patterned paper and cut it out by hand. I finished it all off with a paper doily, some seam binding, and some pearls for a very feminine and shabby chic design.

1 random commenter will win a $25 gift certificate to Flourishes LC. To be eligible to win, you must comment on ALL DT blogs, along with the Flourishes Blog, on all 3 days. 1. Love all the layers and combos of papers and colors. A beautiful vintage design featuring this great stamp!

  2. Naomi, this has to be just the sweetest baby card I have ever seen! I love that you kept the image simple and clean, so that you notice it’s beauty. All the layering, Spellbinders used, lace doily, ribbon, and the pearls in the corner really add that extra special beauty to it!
