Hello and welcome to Day 6 of the Flourishes LC Release for September! This is the final day and what a stunning release it has been, this month!

If you have arrived from Linda’s blog, then you are in the right place. If not, head on over to the Flourishes Blog to start from the beginning.

Today, we are showcasing a new stamp set designed by Lauren Pope called Fall Tree.

***Please keep reading to see how you can have a chance at winning this gorgeous stamp set!***

Without further ado, let’s take a look at what I created:

The Fall Tree image is so detailed that I didn’t feel the need to colour it (although it would also be beautiful coloured in). I simply stamped it onto Flourishes Classic White Card Stock using black ink and cut it out using the largest Spellbinders Classic Square die. Since I wanted to create a navy blue mat for the main image, I used the same die and traced around the outer edge and cut the mat out by hand. This is a technique I often use when I want to create a mat for the largest die in a set. I wrapped some gold twine around the navy blue mat and tied a nice bow before mounting the main image using foam tape. After affixing the main image to the patterned paper background, I attached it to a white card base which I cut-out from Flourishes Classic White Card Stock. To finish it all off, I added a sentiment from the Flourishes Apple of my Eye stamp set (a gorgeous set which is on sale for only $10), a puffy sentiment sticker, and a couple of large gold enamel dots.
Here is a peek of what the stamp set looks like:

Hello and welcome to Day 5 of the Flourishes LC Release for September!

If you have arrived from Tricia’s blog, then you are in the right place. If not, head on over to the Flourishes Blog to start from the beginning.

Today, we are showcasing a new stamp set called It’s All in the Details. This is another beautiful stamp set designed by my fellow Senior Design Team member, Beverly Cole.

Without further ado, let’s get onto my project:

details-2-edited

I coloured the image using Copic markers and fussy-cut it so that I could frame my die-cut background (which was cut-out using the Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglass Die) with it. The sentiment is from Classic Christmas which is still in the Flourishes store and on sale for only $10! I embellished using some gold twine and a bunch of tiny red rhinestones were placed over the holly berries on the image. That’s it! This is such a beautiful stamp set and I didn’t feel like it needed much more in the way of embellishments.

Well, I think this is my simplest card, yet, during this release. I simply coloured the image using Copic markers and mounted it over 3 layers of patterned papers. I stamped a sentiment in navy blue ink and added a couple of white enamel dots. This set is so gorgeous and versatile and I decided to make a non-Christmas card with this set to show the versatility! This set has such a cute cottage-y feel…I just LOVE it!

This was such a simple card to make. I simply coloured the poinsettia image using Copic markers and fussy-cut the image. I then popped it up on the Flourishes Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole Die. I cut the sentiment (from another Flourishes stamp set) out using the smaller die-cut from the Classic Keyhole Die set. I added some a gold twine bow and mounted the image on a patterned paper background. Last, I added some red rhinestones to the centre of the poinsettias to give them some sparkle!

Flourishes Friday Blog Hop – Use Ribbon

Hello everyone!

If you have arrived from Linda’s blog, then you are in the right place. If not, please go to the Flourishes Blog and start from the beginning.

This week, Linda is the hostess for the Flourishes Friday Blog Hop and the team has been challenged to use ribbon on their project.

Here is what I created:

GoldenTree-edited

I kept the card quite simple, stamping the Christmas Tree image onto Flourishes Classic White Card Stock in Onyx Black Versafine Ink. I then matted the image with black card stock and gold glitter paper and mounted this onto some beautiful black, cream, and gold plaid patterned paper by My Mind’s Eye. Lastly, I embellished with some gold ribbon, black enamel dots, and trimmed my tree with tiny rhinestones!

Anyway, thank you for stopping by – I hope you’ll hop along with us!

Flourishes Friday Challenge Blog Hop: Gilded in Gold

Hello Everyone,

Today, I am here with the Flourishes Senior Design Team as we embark on a new journey, together. We have decided to do a blog hop every Friday as we challenge one another. Each week, a different DT member will be the hostess and choose a new challenge for the team.

If you have arrived from Nancy’s blog, then you are in the right place. If not, please hop on back to the Flourishes Blog and start from the beginning.

This week, Vicki is the hostess and she has challenged us each to use gold on our project. Well, I have to say, this was an easy one for me as I use gold on most of my projects!

Here is what I came up with:

LiveEveryMoment-2-edited

I used the Clover & Bees stamp set, stamping it in Versafine Ink in Onyx Black onto white card stock. This card is quite simple so I won’t go into detail over how it was made, but, I brought gold in by using gold foil metallic paper and my favourite gold twine.

Anyway, thank you so much for popping on by…I hope you enjoyed your stay!

Please hop on over to see the rest of the team’s projects…here is the hop list:

Flourishes Free For All Friday – Rustic Christmas

Hello, everyone!

Today I’m here with a Free For All Friday post for Flourishes. I decided to go for a rustic Christmas look using the Harp stamp set.

Here is what I came up with:

RusticChristmas-3-edited

I heat-embossed the harp image using Stampendous Aged Embossing Powder in Ivory onto a woodgrain patterned paper. This embossing powder gives a very cool aged or vintage effect as it has a varied texture (fine to chunky) and also has some chunky gold embossing powder and glitter in it. After embossing the image, I sprinkled some of the embossing powder onto the surrounding patterned paper to add some white flecks. It helps to apply the heat from the underside of the card stock instead of from above as this can blow the embossing powder right off of the paper! This is especially helpful with chunky embossing powders. Next, I embellished with some gold and ivory baker’s twine, a small die-cut tag, and some enamel dots. The tag was attached with gold twine. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia stamp set which is currently on SALE in the store for only $10!
Well, that’s all I have to share with you, today, folks.

Thank you so much for stopping by – I hope you enjoyed your stay!
